Different political parties have been announcing their candidates from all over the country in the run-up to the elections. Most recently, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), which is currently in power, named Kangana Ranaut as one of its candidates from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. The Bollywood actress caused a big stir when she called Subhash Chandra Bose the first Prime Minister of India in a recent interview. This is completely false; Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of Independent India. ‘Father Of Nation’ Title First Used For Gandhi By Netaji

Along with this important event, there’s another thing you might not know about Subhash Chandra Bose. In 1944, “Netaji” was the one who first called Mahatma Gandhi “Father of the Nation” in a radio speech from Singapore. Even though they had different political views, Netaji was the one who first called him “Rashtrapita,” which means “Father of the Nation,” on July 6, 1944.
